Droopy drawers? That's a butt tasing

June 3– A droopy-drawered convicted felon from Selmer was arrested in Savannah on drug and firearm charges after being tased in the behind, according to police.

Adrian X. Stackens, aka Arian X. Smith, 23, of 130 Hideaway Cove, was pulled over by Patrolman Charles Childers for a light law violation.

The officer reports Stackens stopped and got out of the vehicle, at which point Childers drew his weapon and told him to stop and put his hands up. Stackens complied but then "threw his cigarette down and pulled up his pants and took off running. I deployed my Taser and stuck the subject in the rear."

Stackens fell, but got up, tried to jump a fence and was stunned again for the effort.

Childers said he asked the man his name and was given a name which turned out to be false.

A search allegedly turned up more than a quarter-ounce of marijuana, a fully-loaded .22 caliber revolver on the floorboard of the vehicle Stackens was operating, and a cigar used for smoking the "leafy green substance."

In connection with the June 1 incident, Stackens is facing charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, a Hardin County General Sessions Court record shows.

Stackens is reportedly a convicted felon as a result of drug offenses in McNairy County starting in 2006. In 2007, Stackens was charged with animal fighting in McNairy County, the affidavit states.
