Three arrested in Walnut Grove meth bust

May 11 - Last Friday night, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department and 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force arrested three men on drug-related charges when they served a search warrant at the residence of Richard Hutton at 5245 Tenn. 69-S.

According to a report by the sheriff’s department, officers found three individuals inside the residence along with a “one pot” methamphetamine lab in operation which already contained approximately 3 grams of finished methamphetamine.

Digital scales and plastic bags were also found in the residence, indicating intent to sell the methamphetamine present.

Officers also found a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine as well as a variety of items used in the manufacture of the drug.

In Joseph L. Jackson’s vehicle, officers found a box of pseudoephedrine. Officers also found a bottle in Richard A. Hutton’s pocket containing two types of pills which indicate an intent to sell.

Charges are:

Richard A. Hutton, 49, of 5245 Tenn. 69-S was arrested on charges of possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, Schedule III possession with intent, initiation to manufacture methamphetamine and Schedule II possession with intent.

Timothy Morris, 37, of 35 Ronnie Lane was arrested on charges of possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia, Schedule II possession with intent and initiation to manufacture methamphetamine.

Joseph L. Jackson, 26, of 335 Buttercup Lane was arrested on charges of the initiation to manufacture methamphetamine, Schedule II possession with intent and the possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.
