'Extensive' flooding in Savannah, Hardin County
May 2– With the exception of some downed trees, Savannah and Hardin County have thus far escaped much wind-related damage from storms continuing to pound West Tennessee.
But according to an emergency services dispatcher, there is "extensive" flooding occurring countywide.
One person had to be rescued from a flooding apartment in the vicinity of Florence Road and Pinhook Road. Water was up to the top of the wheels of a car parked at Sunshine Restaurant on Water Street.
Flooding has occurred on areas of Tenn. 128, Tenn. 69-S, Tenn. 69-W toward Saltillo and more, the dispatcher said.
There are no reports of injuries or fatalities.
