Alleged Jackson rapist arrested in Counce cabin
April 27 - The Hardin County Sheriff’s Department arrested accused rapist, Micah T. Transou, of Jackson at a cabin on Condo Lane, Counce this morning, Sheriff Sammy Davidson said.
Today’s 11:30 a.m. arrest follows a report by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department in which the alleged victim, 31, said Transou, 37, abducted her from in front of her apartment complex on Hollywood Drive in Jackson.
According to Davidson, the woman said Transou grabbed her from behind and as she was walking on the sidewalk in front of her apartment complex and threw her into his white BMW.
After Transou drove her into a more rural section of Madison County, she says he physically and sexually assaulted her in his vehicle. When she escaped from Transou, she says she ran to a location on Long Meadow Drive, Jackson.
The woman was transported to the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital emergency room with redness, scratches and swelling on her body.
Nurses concluded the woman had been sexually assaulted.
Davidson says Transou was arrested on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic assault, aggravated rape and a violation of order of protection.
Transou has been transported to the Madison County Jail, Davidson said.
The Courier does not routinely identify alleged sex crime victims.
