Alarm interupts home invasion
April 19 - A burglar alarm at one Savannah home appears to have interrupted an attempt at a violent home invasion.Savannah police responded to the alarm at the home of Helen Alexander located at 110 Patterson Road at 2:28 a.m. this morning (Monday).
Upon their arrival, police found the back door had been kicked in with the glass shattered from the door.
Alexander said she heard the commotion and locked herself in her bedroom. She reported the only thing that had been taken was her purse that had been sitting on a table in the living room.
Alexander said her purse contained her social security card, driver’s license, two credit cards and $10-20 in cash.
