Meth-positive baby leads to arrests
April 9– Two Hardin County residents were arrested after a 6-month-old girl was brought to the local hospital and tested positive for methamphetamine, court records show.
Tabitha Brown, 31, and Christopher E. Wardlow, 32, of 1165 Tenn. 142, are both facing aggravated child abuse and promotion of meth manufacture charges.
Brown’s daughter was taken to the emergency room because of breathing problems on April 4, according to the complaint obtained through the Hardin County General Sessions Court.
A subsequent search of the residence reportedly turned up three bottles used to make meth "shake and bake" style.
Hardin County Sheriff Sammy Davidson did not return The Courier’s phone calls regarding the incident.
