Get ready for Ride & Reside

March 29– Mark your calendars for May 15 and 16 for the Second Annual Pickwick Ride and Reside – Boat, Home and Travel Show to be held at Pickwick Landing State Park.

Organizing officials from the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce and Hardin County Convention and Visitors Bureau are putting together what promises to again be one of the summer’s most exciting events in the region.

Pickwick area boat dealers Marine Sales, Paul Seaton Sales & Service and Pickwick Sales will have new and used boats on display with some in-water.

Buyers may even be able to take a spin on Pickwick Lake.

The event will also include a home show in which Hardin County real estate professionals will offer a tour of available homes surrounding Pickwick Lake.

The travel show will highlight what Pickwick and Hardin County have to offer as a destination for those looking to get away. There will be information on local attractions, historic sites and vacation opportunities.

Vendors are still being sought for the event.

There will be numerous special events and fun for the whole family.

This year will feature The Banana Derby for kids of all ages. Monkey jockeys ride dogs in an all-out race around the track for the amusement of spectators.

Pickwick Ride and Reside will be held 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 16.
