Southeast Elementary becomes East

Jan. 13– The Hardin County Board of Education voted Monday to change the name of Southeast Hardin Elementary School, under construction at 100 Freewill Lane off Florence Road, to East Hardin Elementary School.

The board’s rationale is there could be some confusion with two other schools having "South" in their name (Parris-South and Southside).
