Savannah man killed in Christmas crash
Dec. 27 — A 65-year-old Savannah man died in a Christmas day crash in Counce.
A 2007 Chevy Cobalt driven by Jerry R. Paulk was southbound on Wharf Road. It veered off the right side of the roadway and overturned in a ravine full of water, according to a report by Sgt. William Siler of the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Paulk was found in the vehicle, which came to rest upside down under water.
The one-car crash occurred near the intersection of Botel Road and was reported at 3:16 p.m.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Shackelford Funeral Home.
