Feds raid Savannah residence
Nov. 19– A large contingent of law enforcement officers raided a Savannah residence today, blocking a portion of Alabama Street for several hours.
Citing an ongoing investigation, authorities remain silent this evening other than to report arrests have been made and more are coming.
Agencies apparently involved include the Savannah Police Department, federal Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
Numerous firearms were found at the residence.
Sources tell The Courier one of the suspects arrested is employed by the city of Savannah as a utility department worker.
