$25,000 reward offered in Savannah murder case
Nov. 14—Gov. Phil Bredesen has issued a $25,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the apprehension, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a 2001 homicide and fire in Hardin County.
Mildred Grant, 59, was found dead in her partially burned 20 Edna St. house in Savannah on Nov. 15, 2001.
The home was fire was determined to have been arson.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, authorities have continually worked the case since the beginning, but no arrests have been made.
District Attorney Gen. Hansel McCadams of the 24th Judicial District requested a reward be issued in hopes of developing information leading to a suspect.
Along with the TBI, the Savannah Police Department, Hardin County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bomb and Arson Division are all investigating the case.
