Monday last day to register to vote on sales tax

Oct. 27– Monday is the last day to register to vote in time to participate in the countywide Dec. 1 local option sales tax  referendum.

To register, go to the Hardin County Election Commission office in the basement of the county courthouse on Main Street in Savannah. Hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Be sure to bring a driver license or other form of identification providing proof of address.
