Gene Estell, 80, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Nov. 23, in Memphis.
He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late Carl and Mattie Sue East Estell. He was united in marriage to Annie Pearl Gray, who survives.
Mr. Estell served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After serving his country he went to work for PCA in Counce for more than 20 years. He was of Pentecostal belief.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Estell of Savannah; one daughter, Belinda Williams of Mayfield, Kentucky; one son, Jerome Estell of Warner Robbins, Georgia; two stepdaughters, Dinah Briley and Mitzi Stanfield, both of Savannah; one grandchild; two stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Ferguson Estell; one sister, Laverne Estell; and one brother, Nathan Estell.
Services were held Sunday, Nov. 26, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jason DeShazier and Johnny Hill officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
