Aaron Napper Jr., 74, of Savannah, died on Sunday, Oct. 8, in Huntsville, Alabama.
He was born in Coffee County, Alabama, the son of the late Aaron Napper Sr. and Dolly Baker Napper. He was united in marriage to Adele Evlaine Shepherd, who preceded him husband in death.
Mr. Napper worked for the Hardin County Board of Education for 30 plus years. He was a member of House of Mercy Church.
He is survived by children, Cynthia Lockard, Wesley Napper, Calvin Napper, Tara Baxter, Michael Napper, Rebecca Napper, Stephen Napper and Connie Napper, all of Savannah; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Willene Hutto of Alabama, Dorothy Creech of Florida and Mary Spurlock of Florida; and one brother, Donald Napper of Alabama.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wesley Napper; and two sisters, Erma Nell Mobley and Lessie Mae Harrison.
Services were held on Thursday, Oct. 12, at House of Mercy Church in Morris Chapel with David Weatherford and Jerry Milliken officiating. Burial followed in Old Union Cemetery at Adamsville.
