Pearl Plaxico Blanton, 96, of Adamsville, died on Friday, Dec. 16, in Memphis.
She was born in Rienzie, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Clifford and Pink Dees Plaxico. She was united in marriage to Cletious Blanton, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Blanton worked from Weavers Pant Factory in Corinth, Mississippi and later retired after 10 years from Garan Manufacturing. She was of Baptist belief.
She is survived by her children, Thomas Blanton, Billy Wayne Blanton and Wanda Pearl Wilkins, all of Adamsville, Carter Harris Blanton of Savannah and Linda Ridgell of Crump; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Robert and Clifford Plaxico; two sisters, Edna Dunn and Dimple Phelps; and two grandchildren.
Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Scott Whitley officiating. Burial followed in Ledbetter Cemetery at Adamsville.
