Virginia Dare Hurst Snodgrass, 96, of Crump, died on Tuesday, Nov. 22, in Savannah.
She was born in Chester County, the daughter of the late T.R. and Ethel Rowland Hurst. She was united in marriage to Homer F. Snodgrass, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Snodgrass was the bookkeeper for 30 years for Tennessee Vocational School in Crump and she was owner of Savannah Shoe Store for 15 years. She also had worked for the post office in Washington, D.C. She was a member of Crump First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Danny Snodgrass of Huntsville, Alabama; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Hawthorne Hurst of Waynesboro.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Fiedon Hurst.
Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 26, at Crump First Baptist Church with Dan Molette officiating. Burial followed in Crump Baptist Church Cemetery at Crump, Tennessee.
