Betty Ruth Stanfill of Crump departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at her daughter’s home in Adamsville, at the age of 82 years, 7 months, 23 days.
She was born March 24, 1934, in Enville, the daughter of the late Thomas Oliver Hanna and Hattie Bell Martin Hanna. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Nuell Stanfill on April 24, 1954. Mr. Stanfill preceded her in death on April 9, 2006.
Mrs. Stanfill was a homemaker and a member of Crump First United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Ruth Turnbow and husband Stevie Gene Turnbow of Adamsville; a son, Timothy Nuell Stanfill and wife Kenna Susan Stanfill of Crump; seven grandchildren, Wendy Lambert, Lindsay Turnbow, Kenlee Stanfill, Kimberlin Stanfill, Timmy Stanfill, Tyler Stanfill, Amanda Stanfill; seven great-grandchildren, Kaden Terry, Owen Stanfill, Mason Stanfill, Khloe Rice, Brittany Lambert, Brianna Lambert, Addison Stanfill; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stanfill was preceded in death by two sisters, Maerene Hanna Neisler and Mattie Hanna Hart; and two brothers, Russell Hanna and Odean Hanna.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m., at Crump First United Pentecostal Church with Gene Hanna and Michael Gibbs officiating. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville.
