Ben Hardin Garrard, 82, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Nov. 12, in Savannah.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Hardin and Marie Rhodes Garrard. He was united in marriage to the former Geneva Franks, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Garrard was a self-employed mechanic. He was of Baptist belief.
He is survived by his two sons, Rickey Garrard of Savannah and Billy Garrard of Savannah; two stepchildren, Ann Willoughby and Jackie Anderson, both of Savannah; eight grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Rex Garrard of Collierville, Tennessee; and one half-brother, Kenneth Frazier of Savannah.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Memory Gardens in Savannah with Ricky Garrard officiating.
