Melba McCullough

Melba Weaver McCullough, 85, of Milledgeville, died Wednesday, Dec. 16.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Ethel and Grace Sipes Singleton.

Mrs. McCullough lived in the Milledgeville area most of her life and was a hairdresser there from 1961 until 1985. She was a member of the Milledgeville United Methodist Church, Cosmetology Group, Ruritan Club of Milledgeville, and an active member of Milledgeville Community Center.

Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 20, at Milledgeville United Methodist Church in Milledgeville, with Jimmy Dyer, Phil Bridges officiating. Burial was in the Milledgeville Cemetery at Milledgeville.

Memorial donations to American Heart Association.

She is survived by a son, Ritchie Van Weaver of Milledgeville.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Vandyler Weaver; her second husband, Garvin McCullough; four brothers, Crawford Singleton, Autry Wetmore, Hoover Singleton, and Woody Gene; three sisters, Blanche Vaccaro, Louise Dickson, and Opal Garey.
