Leroy Kellen Sr.

Leroy Bernard Kellen Sr., 73, of Shiloh, died Monday, Dec. 14.

He was born in Slayton, Minn., son of the late John Henry Kellen Jr. and Mary Minerva Nece Kellen. He was united in marriage to the former Shelby Jean Anderson.

Mr. Kellen was retired from the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. He had also worked for the Counce-Corinth Railroad for 15 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Savannah. He was a Charter Member of Knights of Columbus–Fourth Degree Knight.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 18, at the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Savannah, with burial in Independence Cemetery in Lexington, Tenn.

In addition to his wife, Shelby J. Kellen of Shiloh, he is survived by one daughter, Patricia Lynn Cruz of Shiloh; two sons, LeRoy B. Kellen Jr. of Shiloh and Jefffery Louis Kellen of Lexington, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,and five great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Burg of St. Cloud, Minn.

Mr. Kellen was also preceded in death by one grandchild; and two brothers, Albert Frances (Red) Kellen and Bernard John Kellen.
