Naomi Oppenhiemer

Naomi Luretta Beam Duplessie Wolfe Oppenhiemer succumbed to lung cancer on Thursday, Dec. 10, at the age of 74, in Virginia Beach, Va.

Born in Baltimore, Md., daughter of J. Beam, she moved to Savannah when Joseph Duplessie, stepfather, and family were transferred to Savannah’s Brown Shoe Company in 1950.

Naomi was married to the late State Rep. Herman L. Wolfe Sr. She left Savannah in 1973, moving to Virginia Beach, Va. She later married William oppenhiemer, who survives.

Honorariums can be made to ASPCA or the Lung Cancer Association.

Mrs. Oppenhiemer is survived by her husband, William B. Oppenhiemer of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sons, Herman L. Wolfe Jr. and Donald Wayne Wolfe, both of Memphis; sister, Gloria Pellicot of Baltimore, Md.; brother, Larry Duplessie of Skowhegan, Maine; four grandchildren, one step-grandson.
