Dennis Cagle

Captain Dennis Cagle, 56, of Henderson, Tenn., died Sunday, Dec. 13, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Capt. Cagle was formerly of Sardis, graduating from Sardis High School. He began his career in law enforcement with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department. He began working with the City of Henderson Police Department in 1988 and had currently been serving as captain of the department.

He was a member of the Bumpus Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club in Jackson.

Services will be today, Thursday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m., at Loyd Auditorium, 162 East University Street, Freed Hardeman-University, Henderson, Tenn., with Ronnie Geary and Bobby Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Kaye Hill Cagle of Henderson, Tenn.; a son, Darrell Cagle of Decaturville; two daughters, Tabatha Bates of Springhill and Sonya Hickman of Henderson; five grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Cagle of Savannah, Danny Cagle of Scotts Hill and Gerald Cagle of Reagan; four sisters, Judy Ivey of Decaturville, Cathy Attaway of Reagan, Paulette Franks and Janice Robbins, both of Savannah.
